Introducing our "Blooming Business Woman" behind "Can't Believe It's Not Meat" vegan/vegetarian restaurants.
What is your name? Laricia Chandle
What is the name of your business? Cant Believe it’s not meat restaurant
How long have you been in this field? 3 years
What made you take the healthy approach in the food industry? After becoming vegetarian and finding a lack in healthy fun food that my family and I could enjoy still.
What was it like starting out? Stressful, I never imagined the response would be so amazing.. I was 7 months pregnant thinking I was opening a little vegan restaurant and it turned out to be a huge vegan restaurant,, lol. Lines were 1-2 hours long, people lined up all down the street. But we made it happen. Continuing growing and got better and better!
What is your theme music (a song) that gets you in the mood to attack your day? I don’t really have one lol
On your journey, what is the toughest obstacle you’ve overcome?
Employees, finding people that actually love what they do. People that wanted to make the food with love and not get frustrated by the overwhelming response. After the first year we found a staff that was just right for us.
What motivates you to get up every morning and follow your dream? My daughter, her being able to one day take over CBINM. Leaving her a legacy.
What does Women Empowerment mean to you? Everything! Women are taking over the world one day at a time. Accomplishing things we’d never imagine!
Anyone trying to enter your industry what is some advice you would give them? Never give up! The sky is not the limit! Shoot for the stars! Never let anyone tell you your dream is unattainable!
