What is your name? Tiffany Laos
What is the name of your company? French Kiss Couture
How long have you been in this field? Over 10 years. Starting as a model. However, I opened my online boutique at the top of the pandemic in 2020.
What inspired your passion for fashion? I can't remember a time I haven’t loved fashion. Maybe it was my time playing Barbie. Growing up I was always in tune with everything fashion. Mostly women in movies inspired me.
What was it like starting it out? Starting French Kiss Couture was something I did when opportunity presented itself. I always wanted my own boutique. After years of being a model and person for other brands the pandemic presented the time I needed to finally allow my business acumen and creativity to shine. So for me starting out was a great and exciting time to finally follow my dreams.
What is your theme music that gets you in the mood to attack your day? Anything old school 90s! R&B or Hip Hop.
On your journey, what is the toughest obstacle you’ve overcome? I don’t know if I had any real obstacles. Ultimately, I’ve learned and continue to learn what I need to know about the business. There are ebbs and flows to any process. I learn from the down time so I can flourish through the ups.
What motivates you to get up every morning and follow your dream? Money and freedom . I love being able to set financial goals and achieve them. My work ethic determines how large my bank account will grow and I have no intention on putting a cap on the number by sleeping in.
What does Women Empowerment mean to you? Women Empowerment is being influenced by and influencing women by accomplishing amazing works. Whether we recognize it or not we are always watching each other. We admire from near and far the work our fellow women are doing. And showing up each day being our kind, fabulous, boss selves we give others permission to do the same.
Anyone trying to enter your industry what is some advice you would give them? Be prepared to be busy. And also, study your craft. The world of fashion is ever changing. Not only be aware of the trends but don’t be afraid to create them.
